Renee Jones, CAI, AARE, BAS, CES is an icon in the auction and appraisal industries,.Ms. Jones is lauded for her business development, operations management, and professional auctioneer accomplishments. During her 25-year career as an industry leader, she has managed and sold over $6 billion of real estate and tangible assets. She has wide-ranging expertise in an extraordinary variety of asset classifications, including intellectual property.
Ms. Jones has managed and conducted virtually every type of auction, from personal property estate sales to a three-year assignment to the disposition of assets on behalf of the Trustee for the Enron Bankruptcy. Her responsibilities have included real estate auction sales in more than twenty states, interim property management, lease workout negotiation, fleet inventory/appraisal/sales, power plants, construction projects, and expert testimony in US Bankruptcy Courts.
Auctions are much more than calling bids when it concerns talent. In 1996, she won the coveted “International Champion Auctioneer” award from the National Auctioneers Association after besting competitors from around the world. She continues to hold the record as the youngest woman to obtain this remarkable achievement. In addition, she is the only woman to ever win the Texas State Auctioneer’s Championship. As a result, Ms. Jones is a sought after coach, mentoring a number of international and state champions. Jones has called auctions on behalf of governmental agencies including the RTC, FDIC, US Customs Service, federal, state courts, and municipalities. She has called auctions for the benefit of Fortune 50 corporations to private individuals. These sales have included entire television networks, manufacturing equipment, industrial, commercial, and residential properties. She is a life member of the National Auctioneers Association, has served two terms on it’s Board of Directors, and served as Chairman of the Education Trustees, which is responsible for all of the organization’s education activities. As a graduate of the Certified Auctioneer Institute sponsored by the NAA at Indiana University, her accomplishments include CES - Certified Estate Specialist, BAS - Benefit Auction Specialist, and AARE – Accredited Auctioneer of Real Estate. She is also a Certified Machinery and Technical Support Appraiser. Jones has held executive or board positions for the following government agencies and respected trade organizations: Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, American Society of Appraisers, and Texas Auctioneers Association. An internationally acclaimed professional speaker, she on lectures a variety of topics, from auction marketing, operations, and how to provide a concierge level of service to sellers and buyers alike. She has spoken at more than thirty-eight state auctioneer association conventions, conferences, and seminars.
